Gaza: Teaching war-traumatized children

After having experienced the horrors of war, children in Gaza are deeply traumatized and found it difficult to adjust to school and everyday life. This is why lessons need to be fun and not stressful. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has overtaken the mission to make school an enjoyable experience for this kids.

ISRAEL: The TEFL market is booming.

The understaffed state school system has made Israel's Ministry of Education launch the "Teachers for Israel" initiative, under which, 1,000 qualified EFL teachers will be recruited from English speaking countries.

TEFL-ers are required a take a subsidised course and learn basic Hebrew to facilitate a better communication with other teachers and parents.
